Drone Photography

I originally started doing drone photography through my real estate work. It gave me the chance to really learn the drone, practice the controls, and get comfortable flying in all kinds of situations. Over time, I found myself genuinely excited about using it in other areas of photography too.

During weddings, I love using the drone to capture a wide, scenic image that sets the tone for your entire gallery - it’s such a beautiful way to show the setting of your day. I’ve also started incorporating it into couples sessions, experimenting with angles and perspectives that simply aren’t possible from the ground.

But my absolute favorite way to use the drone is during the reception details. Getting that overhead view of your tables, décor, and all the thoughtful touches you’ve planned gives such a unique perspective. It highlights the beauty and intention behind every detail in a way nothing else can.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • If your venue or location is near an airport or military base, there may be flying restrictions.
  • It’s always a good idea to ask your venue whether they allow drone photography.
